The design characteristics of LED lamps

Diode technology is something that is constantly refining. Incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps consume huge amount of power. do not emit light in all directions and this affects the design characteristics of LED lamps. Efficiency of LED devices is continuously. From day to day the advent of new and newer technologies helps in developing more improvised LED devices.
Incandescent and fluorescent lamps are compose of tungsten filaments enclosed within glass bulbs or bulbs containing gases whereas LEDs are simply made up of small capsules or lenses in which tiny chips are placed on heat conducting materials. LED bulbs and lamps are available in various shapes and sizes. Usually LED bulbs are available in sizes varying from 3 cm to 8 cm long. It can either be used singly or as a part of an array. The small size and the ability of LEDs to emit light specifically in a single direction helps to conserve large amount of energy. Thus its proves to be beneficial than the incandescent and fluorescent lamps which wastes a whole lot of energy by emitting light in all directions.
We have been living in this planet for millenniums. Our led street lamps forefathers did a lot for making our life better so it’s our responsibility to make a better planet for the forth coming generations.
